De Compagnon
It is advisable to book your seat well in advance in this popular restaurant. With traditional food and a fabulous wine menu the restaurant is gaining in popularity everyday. Opened in 1992 by Bert and Sara van Busch Bach, it is considered by locals as one of the best French restaurants in town. The walls are decorated with lovely drawings of Amsterdam painted down the centuries.

The restaurant-cum-café De Jaren is one of the largest cafes in Amsterdam, featuring an entirely novel and innovative formula.
